Asian Women Scholars, an interdisciplinary consortium dedicated to building community and amplifying Asian voices in the academy, invites proposals for its first annual symposium. For more than a decade, AWS has brought together Asian women and allies for workshops, conferences and social gatherings in Northwest Indiana. Held at Valparaiso University and hosted by Purdue University Northwest and Valparaiso University.

This virtual mini forum, “Evolving Healing Arts and Design,” will showcase several distinguished graphic artists, designers, and educators dedicated to healing arts and design. The discussion will explore how creative art and design can aid in healing through visual communication, art research, practices, and education, utilizing digitally engaged and emerging technologies, including computation and AI. The event will be held online via Zoom on Saturday, September 21, from 11 AM to 4 PM EST. It is open to the public and free, but registration is required.

- 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM: Immersive Healing including Q&A and Discussion
- 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM: Healing for Accessibility including Q&A and Discussion
- 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM: Human-Centered Healing including Q&A and Discussion
